‘Isis wouldn’t be here if there wasn’t Islamophobia’. After three teenage girls from London to join ISIS, a group of young women from east London wrote a piece with me about what the appeal of the Caliphate might be in their ends. They wanted to get their voice and perspectives heard, to tackle the misconceptions they thought mainstream media were presenting. We worked with The Mirror to get it a wider audience.
