Profiling children for advertising

We did a quick little experiment to see just how Facebook was using young people’s data for commercial advertising purposes. The answer was not great, and a little bit scary.

It was a nice little report for press pick up, and got everywhere from the ABC to the Guardian. The Tech Transparency Project kindly replicated this in the US, and Reset Germany did too which both depressing, but as a researcher heartening. Replication is important!
